This carving was awarded Honorable Mention in Prince George's Art Fest 2001. Selected by jury, it toured with other fine works throughout the central interior of British Columbia. This piece has had years of decisions put into it. Two originals had been sketched onto the surface of the antler, but neither seemed appropriate. The carving, while in its infancy, went through many changes in order to capture the bear as the prominent feature. The outside edge of the antler has been stained darker to offer an almost framed appearance.
