Have you ever wanted to transport yourself somewhere in a second, to feel, to hear and to touch certain things, and you couldn't. I may have carved this piece just because of those reasons. I had a vision of a lighthouse in my mind that I needed to get out. As small as this carving is, try to appreciate the immeasurable mass of thought and feeling within it. A lighthouse towers high above ocean washed boulders posing as a monument acting as though one to be contented with. Surrounding rocks battle the forces of nature along with the man made structure itself.
The rock base this antler carving is on signifies foundation and the applied blue epoxy represents the water of unseen natural forces.
