Welcome to what will become my life’s work, Bird’s Paradise. Bird is a nickname I gave to my daughter; where I am living I can only describe as paradise. I believe the name says it all.

This property is my canvas and the borders are what make up the frame. It’s within these boundaries that I release another way of expressing my love for nature and the outdoors. While I get to live in this canvas, I share this sanctuary with the wildlife that roams within it. I work at creating trails and points of interest while they look on and occasionally come in for a closer look.

Enter Bird's Paradise

There’s been no training for this project. What I do simply comes from my heart as I work with what is given to me from the two most formidable masters of art, God and Mother Nature. As I’ve never been a painter, God himself illuminates my skies while Mother Nature decorates my trails throughout the seasons with an ever changing array of color. I use my perspective as an artist as to what is pleasing to the eye as They cast the light, add the colors, and give the life. Being selective, precise and in touch with one another allows Them to work through my hands as I work through Their offerings. I’m guided in what I take, leave or move as I continue to carve my way to all ends of this 157 acre landscape.

My greatest reward as nature artist is to look around me, take a deep breath, and fall into the mixture of it all. I believe now I have reached my ultimate goal as to be at one with nature. It’s my hope to one day open Bird’s Paradise to those that share the passion for nature and what it brings to us.

If you’re interested in viewing an artist’s work "in the making" this venue may be exactly what you’re looking for. For a personal viewing of this art in progress you can contact the artist. Thanks to all in my life for understanding my passion, those who say I carve with my heart, and to those who share the love of it all.

Here’s to another Visions of Nature one of a kind!

Enjoy. Gb 02.25.08
