I don't know exactly how it came to be that I would eventually recreate animals on skulls using my style of pointillism. I have a deep appreciation for wildlife and if I had to describe the overall process, I would call it 'morbid creativity'. I'm filled with a sense of loss when preparing one of these magnificent creatures. Be it that their life ended by predator, hunter, or natural causes, my respect to the animal is to receive the bounty and recreate the animal as though still alive; bringing a majestic creature back to life sort of speak, by way of art. I understand that this is not favored by all, I respect that, but death of an animal is going to happen regardless of anyone's say so and if I might be able to add a secondary reason for this creature to offer it's life, then this is the stand I will take.
